Renowned for his photographs featuring dislocated bodies in daily situations, Sandro Giordano, also known as Remmidemmi, presents a new exhibition in collaboration with galleries Gate 5 (Monaco) and Alexandre Guillemain (Paris) in a soothing world of art design.

Throughout the different interior scenes, he captures inanimate bodies in a disrupted environment, in which pieces by big designers stand out: Max Ingrand chandelier, Gabriella Crespi coffee table, Gio Ponti armchairs, etc. In those chaotic spaces, the figures seem to be victims of a fall. To the fragility of the body, respond the beauty and timelessness of the furniture showcased.
Remmidemmi is committed to storytelling through each photo.
But beyond what the image describes, a tragic-comic feeling arises in the viewer.
Behind ridicule: a moral collapse? Impertinent joke? Or the symptom of decadence? On the initiative of Gate 5 Gallery, the exhibition __IN INTERIORS (Style with no regret) combines the shoots of Remmidemmi and the pieces of furniture appearing in his photographs.

To the viewers to reenact the scene!

In an arrangement confronting the object to its representation, in the style of Joseph Kosuth, the project suggests to the visitor to enter the heart of the photographic process. The latter will be invited to take a picture with the furniture available for sale, under Remmidemmi’s eye. Everyone will get their Polaroid taken during the opening reception, and signed by the artist.
